Situation
The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program supports service members and families before and after deployment. Its events needed software that fit how the program actually operates.

What I did
I started with program staff, not the software. I translated their operations into requirements and workflows, then supported implementation, training, logistics, and coordination across stakeholders.
Why it worked
When requirements come from the people doing the work, the tool fits the mission.
Result
Program staff received tools that matched how their events run, along with the training to use them.
